Randomness a-hoy
Before I start I just have to announce I'm going up to scotland for the weekend. No fics, no me online at all until Monday.
I fucking hate computers. I'm sure you know this already. Can someone explain to me why even though I have quicktime installed I cannot see the new Spiderman 3 trailer on apple's website? Can someone also explain to me why when I try to download quicktime I have to waste space with iTunes as well. I don't fucking have an iPod, Media Player can play MP3's which transfer easily onto my Zen.
And when I do download it and try to install it my computer slows to a halt. All for it to say "error installing program fuck you". Why can't things be fucking simple for once.
I don't understand why companies want to torture you either. Norton is particularly a terrible offender. OK my subscription ran out, do you have to slow my computer down to a halt EVERY FUCKING DAY, just because I can't say "Remind me" any later than a single day.
And what the fuck has happened to torrents. Every site now asks for fucking membership. All I want is the latest fucking family guy episodes cause they aint showing them over here. If someone can present me with a working torrent of "You May Now Kiss The...Uh...Guy Who Receives" a thousand internets would be sent to your by post. It's the last episode I need and I can't find it anywhere with decent fucking health.
Change of subject now. Metroid Prime Hunters. Awesome game, amazing online, ocassionally. It all works fine when people play fair. Though it's worse than fucking Mario Kart now.
If you somehow manage to face someone who doesn't either
a) cheat so they have abnormaly high health (I swear to god this one trace I hit 5 times with the imperialist, never died. Shots me once, dead. Also met a Samus once, took 9 hits with the DEATHALT to kill. It's instant fucking kill!!)
b) cheat in any other way (got sniped in the head IN MY ALT FORM)
c) doesn't disconnect when they lose
d) or hide for most of the level trying for a draw
You may just earn a point. Come on Nintendo give a point to those you beat fair and square. If they disconnect give the people who stay points. You used to do that with Mario Kart, what happened? People complain it was unfair that their router caused them to lose. You idiots they are doing it on purpose so they won't lose points.
I can admit being outsmarted, losing to someone fair and square. But when it's not fair and square, when they are clearly cheating (and it's happening a LOT) it's very offputting. I've dropped more points because when I was winning people disconnected and when I lost I stayed, more than anything else.
Also when the fuck are they going to enable us to link to our hunter licenses already. The US gamers have had this option for ages. Not us Brits sadly.
Mind you I do have an interesting story. This gamer called n00b pwner chose Weavel in Combat Hall. Now I had heard of the glitch where you fall through the floor and can shoot outside but they can't shoot in. He did it to me. Little did he realise that I had killed him earlier, was winning and could hide in a spot where he couldn't shoot me. Naturally I won that game, someone who realised their stupidity and accepted defeat.
