Wii all like to make jokes.

So Nintendo have announced the name for the Revolution with be the Nintendo Wii (Pronounced "We"). What do I think?

It's just a name.

Yes it sounds like a word for piss, a commonly used word for piss, but that means nothing.

The console that gave games a cool image was called PLAYstation. Play to me is a word I associate with kids, "Can you come out to PLAY?" "Go PLAY with your friends?". Yes we PLAY games but it's still a word more used with children than anything else.

Then there's the Xbox. As Todd from Scrubs said "Is the perfect word for a vagina" (something like that).

Game BOY. Do I need to continue?

Gizmondo. WTF?

Some of the best names come when you don't think so hard. NES, SNES, Famicom, Master System, Mega Drive, N64, Nintendo DS, Saturn, Lynx, Jaguar, etc. However those last two kinda show that even a great name won't make a console a sucess.

So really I have no problems with the name. Though the jokes are still funny.

even more so that Koch Media are Nintendo's new Distributing partner (see bottom of list).

It seems like Koch will be distributing Wii all over the UK.

Xbox: Nothing. Last game Half-life 2 finished.
PS2: Guitar Hero. On the second gig on hard.
DS: Viewtiful Joe Doube trouble. Finished on Kids and Adults.
PSP/GBA: Not touched in ages

News Update

Long overdue one of these.

Basically I got a data entry clerk job a month or two ago (can't remember if I said this before), which ended a couple of weeks ago. Now they want me back for some call centre job or whatever.

I start this tomorrow at 9am which means I'll be going to bed early.

So sorry if I gave some of you false hope when I said I would update my fics more regularly. I thought I was back at full speed but it seems things have changed suddenly.

That goes for my art too. Expect a long delay until you see anything new.
