Wii get you excited then Wii bring you down again
So the Wii's launch details have been revealed.
£180 includes Wii sports plus full controller and sensor bar. 8th December. Good Good.
Shame they had to ruin it. How you may ask?
1. Metroid delayed until 2007. [sarcasm] Nice move, really [/sarcasm]. This was THE game I wanted for the Wii. Zelda sounded awesome too but it was metroid getting me all excited. Now the launch is missing SSB Brawl, Sonic and the Secret Rings, Super Mario Galaxy as well as Metroid. WHY?!?
2. Not region free, not even the Virtual console. Big what the fuck here. Why lock out the virtual console games too. I wanna play Mega Drive games at 60 fucking hz. If you don't think there's a difference get your mega drive out and load Sonic 2, then load up Gens or a mega drive emulator with a Sonic 2 ROM. There is a massive difference, particularly with the music. I notice it more cause I imported Sonic Mega Collection, meaning the last couple of times I played Sonic 2 was an NTSC version and I kinda got used to it. Playing my SONIC MEGA COLLECTION PLUS or SONIC GEMS COLLECTION (both PAL) I realised there is a huge difference.
Found both of these out the day after I got excited about it. Even put down my pre-order and now, well I'm still excited. Zelda will just have to stretch a little longer. No way am I waiting for the Gamecube version, which has been delayed and even rumoured not to make it our shores after all.
Anyway changing the topic slightly. The Art page is almost complete. All images are up and linked I just need to comment on most of them. Fanficition page is in progress too. Still a fair bit to go mind. Haven't even started on the new title banner.
